The Benedictines of Mary are such a wonderful community! Everyone should visit, even if they're not discerning. Its such a great spiritual experience. They have a very nice retreat house for guests and a gift shop.
ReplyDeleteWhen I visited last year for my birthday, one of the sisters even came to say hello and happy birthday! They are so kind and wonderful. I would love to enter this community some day. A great book to help with discerning this community is a book written about their founder, Sr. Mary Wilhelmina. The book is called "God's Will: The Life and Works of Sr. Mary Wilhelmina."
You can find it at benedictinesofmary.org under the "Prints and Cards" section of the website. Its a great book with TONS of pictures!

I got to visit the monastery and stayed in the guest house very briefly too and it is wonderful! So glad you got to go and enjoyed it. What a blessing to be able to go for your birthday! <3
